Maintenance Assistant
Will be required to perform a variety of tasks of the buildings and grounds maintenance trades including plumbing, carpentry, painting, sawyer, mowing, landscaping, equipment operation and snow removal. Assist in the maintenance of various types of trails, parking access areas for hunting, fishing and recreational activities, department assets and infrastructure. Will be required to operate commercial vehicles in order to transport heavy equipment and materials. May be required to operate diverse types of equipment and have good working knowledge of all equipment being operated. May be required to perform maintenance and repair work on diverse types of motor equipment. May not be assigned to the same job location each day and should expect to be assigned anywhere in the working circle during the workday.

Salary Range:
From $18.22 to $18.22 Hourly
Minimum Qualification
Two years of full-time experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled tradesperson; OR completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services, such as the New York State Civil Service Employees Association-Partnership (NYS CSEA-P) Applied Skilled Trades Certificate Program; or an equivalent combination of experience and training gained by completion of appropriate technical courses at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
